Boss Status: Diddy Announces New Cable Network

He inspires me…Diddy is doing it!

He might act like an egotistical foolio sometimes, but you can’t deny that P. Diddy is a “hustla” and knows how to make some money! Diddy has confirmed that he will be starting his own cable TV network that will be focused on everything music and will bring a “diverse programming” to music TV and social media. The channel will be called REVOLT and will be distributed on COMCAST cable between July 2012 and January 2014. Together Diddy and Comcast will launch the REVOLT channel in 2013. I’m excited to see where this is going to go and how successful it’s going to be. Big ups to Diddy he is definitely a BOSS! Peep his announcement below.

New Video: Urban Cartel – Just Fine

I’ll be just fine I’ll find my way around!

Urban Cartel recently released their first ever video for “Just Fine” a single off of their “Cassette Music” album. This is one of my favorite UC tracks, its really smooth and laid back and the words give me a good, inspired feeling. So I’m glad they put it out as a single and made a cool, inspiring video for it. Check it out below.

This past weekend I attended THE UNDRGRND event that was held at MOCA DC art gallery in Georgetown and I had a blast! The event was a showcase of music, art and fashion and was hosted by Hip Hop Cleopatra, who did a great job. While there, you guys know I had my iPhone in hand covering the event for “In The City” to give all those who weren’t able to attend an inside look! There was a lot of networking going on and I was able to meet some new cool people. Attendees were able to purchase some great fashionable vintage clothing and jewelry from GEN XY Vintage, FLYING GIRAFFE, THE JACKPOT CO, OUTSPOKN and SIMMS CITY PRODUCTION. There also was a “HIGH ART W/ A MUSE” exhibit by FRESCO that was pretty awesome, and DMV up & coming artist Ari Lennox performed not once but twice and she was absolutely amazing! All in all it was an amazing evening with a great turnout and I really enjoyed myself. Check out photos from the event below. Enjoy!

I showed up to the event rocking a Flying Giraffe Vintage top!

New Video: Wale feat Big Sean “Slight Work” Directed by Chris Brown

Slight Work!

Yesterday MTV 2 premiered Wale’s Diplo produced track “Slight Work” video. The video is directed by Mr. Chris Brown himself and its pretty dope! With cool colorful graffiti filled walls and background dancers the video is probably one of the best video treatments Wale has had from his Ambition album. DMV rapper Black Cobain and J.Cole both make a cameo in the video as well. Check it out below!!

Side note* Big Sean was rocking the Just Don Mitchell & Ness Snakeskin Snapback

New Music: Usher-Climax

“Where are you now when I need you around?”

This is the Usher I miss!! Yesterday Usher released a new track titled “Climax” produced by Diplo. The “Look At Me Now” super producer said the track is the best song he’s been apart of. Getting back to his R&B roots, the rhythm is slow and seductive with an electro feel and the lyrics are heart felt and deep as Usher sings about love & and when it’s over and done. He’s def about to make an R&B comeback with this one. Listen to the song below!
